Sean O'Malley recently sent fans into a frenzy after offering to host an amateur MMA fight between streamers Adin Ross and Sketch. O'Malley also proposed some ground rules for the "Suga Show Fighting Championship" and suggested a potential timeline for the fight.
O'Malley is set to face Merab Dvalishvili in a bantamweight title fight at UFC 306 at The Sphere this weekend. Ahead of his fight, the UFC champion joined Ross on a stream, and the two discussed a potential amateur combat sports event. O'Malley proposed Sketch as Ross' opponent and said:
"In Suga Show Fighting Championship. Some one-minute rounds... Boxing or MMA... Someone of your skill level, I don't want you to get hurt. What about you vs. Sketch?"
After Ross expressed his keen interest in the idea, O'Malley continued:

Three three-minute rounds, amateur MMA rules - no elbows, no knees. You vs. Sketch could be the main event... Let's plan on it being sometime in late October or early November... I'll figure out the details and let you know."
After @Scubaryan_ shared a clip of the stream on X, fans flocked to the post's comments section to express their thoughts.

"Doesn’t sound legal but I’ll be there for it."
Another fan opined:
"Sketch might easily take Adin down with his football background."

Sean O'Malley hopes to overtake Conor McGregor as MMA's biggest superstar
Sean O'Malley recently compared Conor McGregor's fame and claimed he could overtake the Irishman as the face of MMA soon. He also pointed out that McGregor's next fight could decide his fate as the UFC's biggest cash cow.
During a pre-fight media day interview, O'Malley addressed his ongoing beef with McGregor and explained why he was next in line to become the biggest superstar in mixed martial arts. He said:
"I think I'm very close. I think Conor [McGregor] still got one more big fight in him cause there's a big question mark like, can Conor come back? Can he actually beat [Michael] Chandler? If he goes out there and loses his next fight... Like, it's gotta die down eventually. Maybe not. That just tests how big of a star he is, but I would assume he goes out there, if he loses, I'm there. I'm the guy. I'm the number one."
