Stamp Fairtex’s wild exchange against Julie Mezabara has drawn comparisons to Don Frye vs. Yoshihiro Takayama. Back in October 2021, Stamp fought Mezabara at ONE Championship: NextGen. The number one atomweight contender beat the Brazilian by a unanimous decision.
During their fight, Mezabara caught Stamp’s body kick. Both atomweights continued to strike while the Fairtex fighter was on one leg. ONE Championship posted the highlight on Instagram with the caption:
“Give and take 😱 Stamp Fairtex aims to finish Anissa Meksen in their mixed rules super-fight on January 13 at ONE on Prime Video 6! 🏆 @stamp_fairtex”

The awkward striking exchange drew comparisons to Frye vs. Takayama at Pride 21: Demolition. Several fans pointed out the similarities by commenting on ONE’s Instagram post, with some saying:
“Don frye vibes”
“Anybody called Don Frye already?”
“Pov: when you and a sibling are fighting over the last Bing Chilling”
“Yeeeeee! Get some!!”
Stamp’s next fight will be against Anissa Meksen in a mixed-rules bout. The highly-anticipated atomweight showdown goes down at ONE on Prime Video 6 in January 2023.

Stamp Fairtex said she would go on a date with Jarred Brooks under one condition
ONE strawweight world champion, Jarred Brooks, is persistently trying to land a date with Stamp Fairtex. Stamp has turned him down several times but recently offered Brooks an opportunity. ‘The Monkey God’ had this to say during an interview with ONE:
“Stamp Fairtex, I've asked her on dates plenty of times, and she's saying that I have to either beat Rodtang in a mixed-rules fight or win a Muay Thai Grand Prix [title]. Girl, win a wrestling world championship and then talk to me.”
Stamp might not be interested because she’s too busy building her legacy. The Fairtex fighter is a former ONE atomweight Muay Thai world champion, former ONE atomweight kickboxing world champion, and the ONE women’s atomweight world Grand Prix champion. Beating Anissa Meksen in the upcoming mixed rules bout would be another feather in her cap.
