Donald Trump’s campaign advisor Alex Bruesewitz credited UFC CEO Dana White for helping revitalize Trump’s public image through high-profile UFC appearances. Trump, who won the recent Presidential elections, has a long-standing friendship with White, dating back to his attendance at UFC 244 in 2019 as the first sitting President to watch a live UFC event.
In a recent interview with Fox News, Bruesewitz highlighted White’s role in Trump’s resurgence:
“Dana White is another person that deserves tremendous credit you know. He made he helped make Trump cool again with those walkouts, uh and he did that first walk out in July of 21 and at that time you know they were saying that Donald Trump's a political prize… and he walks out to the McGregor- Poirier fight. Justin Bieber, Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly are sitting in front row but Trump comes out, thunderous applause and they're like Trump is back baby.”

Dana White dismisses speculation about joining Donald Trump’s cabinet
Dana White has firmly denied rumors of joining Donald Trump’s cabinet as Trump has secured a second term as U.S. President. Known for their close friendship, White has been a vocal supporter of Trump, even speaking at the 2024 Republican National Convention and introducing him at key events.
White, who has credited Trump for backing the UFC during its early struggles, clarified his stance in a recent interview with Sports Business Journal:
"That is a fact. I'm in the fight business, which is the dirtiest, nastiest business. We all hate each other, and we're all fighting every day. There's nothing dirtier than politics - it's disgusting, it's gross. I want nothing to do with it."
