Drew Dober reckons Bobby Green unintentionally took banned substances. Green recently finished serving a six-month suspension for an over-the-counter supplement called DHEA.
‘King’ will make his Octagon return ten months after losing to Islam Makhachev in his last fight. During the UFC Vegas 66 media day, Dober was asked about his upcoming opponent’s USADA suspension. He responded:
“I think Bobby (Green) made a mistake, but he didn’t intentionally make a mistake. I don’t think I’m fighting a steroided, chemically, performance-enhancing Bobby Green. I think it was just an error, and he had to pay his punishment, but I don’t think he did it intentionally…”
Dober concluded by expressing his disappointment in the media headlines that portrayed Green as a frequent PED user. He added:

“I think he’s a natural clean fighter. He’s been fighting for the longest time, so I’m not worried about it at all, but these headlines where it’s like you can get popped for something. ... And it’s in a supplement, and you know, it’s a mistake, and all of these headlines are PEDs, and now it follows you. Bobby’s gonna do his rants, and I’m just gonna say I trust Bobby, and I think he’s clean.
Green vs. Dober features two UFC veteran lightweights looking to crack the top 15. The latter is riding a two-fight win streak after beating Rafael Alves and Terrance McKinney. Meanwhile, ‘King’ is looking to make up for lost time after being sidelined because of his USADA suspension.

Drew Dober thinks UFC wouldn’t be interested in him fighting Paddy Pimblett
Paddy Pimblett is slowly moving up the lightweight rankings after his fourth UFC win last weekend. Pimblett would be close to a top 15 ranking in most divisions, but the lightweight division is filled with unranked killers.
During the UFC Vegas 66 media day, Drew Dober had this to say when asked about potentially fighting ‘The Baddy’ in 2023:
“No, the UFC would not let me fight him (Paddy Pimblett). Let’s be honest; we watched his last fight, and we know what I’m capable of. … We all know we got Dana, the UFC, all those guys; they won’t let that happen.”
Drew Dober’s durability and underrated power could be an issue for ‘The Baddy.’ Despite Pimblett’s massive fanbase, Dober could be looking at a step backward in competition level if he beats Bobby Green on December 17.
Nevertheless, it wouldn’t be shocking to see him and the Liverpool native square off in the future.
