Dricus du Plessis will be fully focused on the UFC 308 co-main event featuring Robert Whittaker and Khamzat Chimaev. The bout has been dubbed a title eliminator bout, and the middleweight champion recently explained why he wants both fighters to win on Oct. 26.
Having previously been defeated by Du Plessis, Whittaker will be eager to hand Chimaev his first ever defeat so 'The Reaper' can avenge his loss to the South African and reclaim the 185-pound title.
Whilst 'Borz' will be hungry to continue defeating every opponent put in front of him, and fulfill the destiny that many fans had assumed would be a given, becoming a UFC champion.
'Stillknocks' broke down his reasons for wanting both fighters to win during a recent episode of Fight Chats hosted by South African comedian and actor, Rikus de Beer, also known as Radio Raps.

The champion said:
"I want Rob to win, because I like him so much and I'm a fan. I have faced Robert Whittaker before, and I have so much admiration for how he just came back... I think he deserves the next shot. If he beats Khamzat, he for sure [deserves the title shot]."
He continued:
"What I would love is to fight Khamzat and be the first guy to beat him. The one is with my heart, and the other is me as an athlete and thinking about my career. I would love to be the first guy to beat Khamzat, and I know I can beat Khamzat... I'm gonna go Robert Whittaker [to win]."

Sean Strickland's coach shares Dricus du Plessis' DM after rematch confirmed by Dana White
During a recent media scrum, UFC CEO Dana White identified Sean Strickland as the most likely candidate for Dricus du Plessis' next fight, a rematch of their UFC 297 clash.
Having hoped to perform infront of home fans in South Africa, it seems that he may face Strickland where 'Tarzan' won the title against Israel Adesanya, in Australia.
Following White's recent comments about Strickland's title contendership, his coach Eric Nicksick was interviewed by MMAFighting. He shared the message sent to him by 'Stillknocks', and said:
"There are so many things that we didn't do right [at UFC 297]... I'm looking forward to this matchup again, Dricus wrote [to] me a couple of days ago, he's like, 'Yo, I'm excited to go against you again bro.' I have all the love and respect for Dricus and his team."
