Dricus du Plessis slams Sean Strickland's "boring" fighting style
Their first encounter at UFC 297 saw Dricus du Plessis emerge victorious and become the new champion by defeating Sean Strickland via split decision. Ahead of their rematch at UFC 312 next year, du Plessis has criticized Strickland's fighting style in an interview with Fox Sports Australia, saying:
''Nothing's changed, he [Strickland] looked boring like every other fight, walking forward jabbing and teeping, it wasn't an exciting fight... It wasn't a bad performance, it was the most normal performance from him ever... He has no problem with the crowd booing his fighting style."
