What happened in Nate Diaz's recent fight?
Nate Diaz recently locked horns in a boxing match against Jorge Masvidal. The event was held on July 6 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
This was not the first time the two had fought each other. Diaz and 'Gamebred' had headlined the UFC 244 card in November 2019, with the symbolic 'BMF' title on the line. That encounter ended on an anti-climactic note as Diaz suffered a cut above his eye and the fight was stopped after the third round. Masvidal was declared the winner and became the 'BMF' champion.
Their second encounter took place inside the boxing ring on July 6. The fight was a competitive affair with high volume strikes from both fighters. In the end, the Stockton native was declared the winner via a majority decision. The three judges scored the bout 98-92, 95-95 and 97-93 in favor of Diaz.
In his post-fight interview, Diaz called out Jake Paul and Leon Edwards for a fight.
"Leon Edwards, Jake Paul and anybody the f**k else, you're dead."
