Dustin Poirier has all but confirmed that he will only fight one more time in his career. The former interim champion's admission has left fans waiting with bated breath for any potential fight news regarding 'The Diamond'. But recent rumors of a fight with Rafael Fiziev were dismissed by the No.11 ranked lightweight contender.
Fiziev has not competed since tearing his ACL against Mateusz Gamrot in September 2023 when they clashed in the main event of UFC Vegas 79. But having made a full recovery from the injury, 'Ataman' will likely return in the first half of 2025.
One thing that is certain, is that when Fiziev returns it won't be against Poirier.
The Muay Thai specialist came across a post on X by @AdonisShakurMMA, who had stated that the Louisiana native was set to face off against the Kazakh fighter.
