UFC star Dustin Poirier reacted humorously to a fan's suggestion that comedian Theo Von should try his hand at combat sports. The idea came after Von's hilarious mishap at President Donald Trump's inauguration on January 20, 2025.
During the event, Von's folding chair unexpectedly collapsed, sending him tumbling into the lap of Logan Paul, who was filming the moment. Logan, along with his brother Jake Paul, was caught off guard by the incident, which the former later shared on social media. Von quickly responded, claiming the mishap wasn’t an accident, suggesting that the Paul brothers had rigged his chair.
As the video went viral, a fan suggested that Von might want to try his luck in combat sports. Poirier, known for his witty personality, couldn’t resist and replied:

Beneil Dariush shares callout of Dustin Poirier, questions latter's fight decisions
Beneil Dariush, eager to bounce back after consecutive losses, has set his sights on a potential showdown with former interim lightweight champion Dustin Poirier. The callout came after Dariush's scheduled UFC 311 bout with Renato Moicano was canceled, with Moicano stepping in to face Islam Makhachev for the lightweight title.
Speaking with The Schmo, Dariush revealed frustration over Poirier's recent fight choices, highlighting a missed opportunity for their matchup:
"Ideally it would be Dustin Poirier. I don't know what it is, but lately he's been bugging me too. There was talks of us fighting, and he was like, 'Nah I'm not interested. I want to fight bigger names, this and that.' Then he turns around and fights Benoit Saint Denis, who was ranked behind me, out of nowhere. Obviously he got a title shot off of it... The whole game he played with that, it changed in my eyes."
