Dustin Poirier is set to fight Michael Chandler this weekend at UFC 281 in the penultimate pay-per-view of the year.

UFC 281 has a stacked card headlined by the highly awaited matchup between Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira. Also competing will be Poirier and Chandler, who are two of the best lightweights in the division right now and have made quite a name for themselves.

'The Diamond' is reportedly worth $4 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth. Chandler, on the other hand, is estimated to be worth around $2 million in 2022, according to Marca.

A lot of Poirier's income comes through his brand endorsements with Reebok, Celsius energy drink, and his own hot sauce company. He has previously challenged for the title and is looking to make yet another run at the gold.

Michael Chandler endorses two major brands in Dynamitz protein and Coin Lion cryptocurrency. He is looking to continue his winning ways after securing a rebound victory over Tony Ferguson last time out.

'Iron' will want to re-establish himself as a title contender by taking out the man who beat Conor McGregor twice in 2021.

Dustin Poirier says Conor McGregor is the hardest puncher in the UFC

Dustin Poirier is the only man to have beaten Conor McGregor twice.

The pair have fought three times. McGregor knocked Poirier out in 2014, but 'The Diamond' stopped the Irishman twice last year, winning the pair's trilogy. Many fans believe they need another fight to settle their rivalry given how the third played out, with a leg break bringing a premature end to the contest.

In an interview with Valueentertainment's Patrick Bet-David, Dustin Poirier revealed that McGregor is the hardest puncher he has ever fought:

“Conor McGregor, no doubt about it. As the biggest puncher I fought? Yeah, he’s a special individual for sure... Fought him in 2014, lost and that was when his trajectory was just... sky was the limit. He was on his way up and he tore through everybody and became a two-weight world champion. But yeah I fought him twice this year... It’s still the same, very dangerous.”
