Eddie Hearn and Conor Benn don't plan on cooperating with his U.K. ban.
'The Destroyer' has been out of the ring since a knockout win over Chris van Heerden last year. Following the win, Benn was scheduled to face Chris Eubank Jr. in October. However, the fight didn't end up happening.
Just days before the scheduled clash, the welterweight prospect tested positive for Clomifene. The drug is typically used after doing a steroid cycle and can help mask prior use. Following the positive test, Benn was suspended by the British Boxing Board of Control and was removed from the WBC rankings.
For what it's worth, the latter cleared Conor Benn of doping last month, stating that his positive test was due to high consumption of eggs. Meanwhile, the BBBoC refused to clear the welterweight, stating that he's been unable to prove his innocence.

However, Eddie Hearn doesn't care. The head of Matchroom Boxing recently revealed plans to re-book Benn vs. Eubank Jr. for June 3. Along with that, the pair won't be fighting in the U.K.
To avoid the suspension, Hearn will stage the contest in the US or the United Arab Emirates. While some athletic commissions will stand by others issuing suspensions, the promoter seems confident that won't be the case here.
Eddie Hearn justifies booking Conor Benn's return
Eddie Hearn feels that it's okay to skirt around Conor Benn's suspension due to unfair treatment from the BBBoC.
'The Destroyer' was recently cleared by the WBC to return to their welterweight rankings. With that, Benn began focusing on resuming his career, which led to his new booking against Chris Eubank Jr.
He also focused on getting retribution. Over the last few weeks, Benn has blasted the BBBoC. The welterweight stated that he is being unfairly treated by the council, and he plans to sue them for damages to his career.
Eddie Hearn appears to be in agreement with Conor Benn's comments about being mistreated. In an interview with TalkSport, the promoter justified avoiding the suspension by booking a fight outside England. He stated:
"I will look at fights for Conor Benn and I will make a decision on where that fight will take place. I will also actively speak to Conor and the British Boxing Board of Control about going through the process to ensure he gets a fair hearing and he tries to be able to box in this country."
It will be interesting to see if Hearn successfully tip-toes around Benn's suspension.
