Many fans in the MMA community are thrilled to relive the moment when Amanda Nunes' strong performance forced Ronda Rousey to retire. Everyone praised Nunes, and some speculated about her possible comeback to the UFC.
For context, after a hiatus of one year, Rousey returned to the octagon at UFC 207 to challenge Nunes for the bantamweight title. Unfortunately, the 37-year-old was unable to reclaim her title as she suffered a beatdown from Nunes, who went on to knock out Rousey with devastating strikes in the opening round.
This was Rousey's final octagon appearance, as she announced her retirement from the sport in 2016 and became the first female fighter to be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame in 2018.
