Conor McGregor, known for his slick striking skillset, recently shared some new footage of him training his Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ). The Irishman received his BJJ black belt in 2023 from longtime coach John Kavanagh. However, the recent video of McGregor's grappling rounds has received an underwhelming review from one of the UFC lightweight division's best BJJ practitioners, Chase Hooper.
Hooper is currently in the best form of his career, riding a four-fight win streak. His last three victories have all come via submission, most recently against Clay Guida at UFC 310, where he secured an armbar submission.

Belal Muhammad believes Conor McGregor is "losing it"
Conor McGregor was once viewed as arguably the best pound-for-pound MMA fighter in the world. The Irishman trailblazed a path to the top of the UFC, securing both the featherweight and lightweight world titles in a once-in-a-lifetime string of performances.
But following his loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in 2021, where 'The Notorious' suffered a broken leg, he has not been the same. He pulled out of a fight for the first time in his UFC career after being scheduled to face Michael Chandler at UFC 303 in June.
The recent legal case that McGregor was involved in has also seen details of his personal life thrust into the public eye, with the aura that surrounded the former champion appearing to fade.
Welterweight champion Belal Muhammad recently shared his thoughts on the 36-year-old's current situation while appearing on Jake Shields' podcast, saying:
"He always wants to put his name in the mix whenever there's a big fight... When Holloway and Topuria fought, he wants to put his name in the mix... He's losing it... He wants that so bad. As they say, money doesn't buy happiness, right? I don't think he's happy."
