It was an unfortunate end to the fight between Murad Ramazanov and 'Robocop' Roberto Soldic at ONE on Prime Video 5. Russia's Ramazanov landed a hard knee to the groin of Croatia's Soldic, which he was unable to recover from. Due to it being an accidental illegal move, the fight was declared a no contest.
Ramazanov and Soldic later ran into each other at the fighter hotel and exchanged pleasantries, even taking a photo together. Ramazanov shared his thoughts and the photo on Instagram:
"Greetings to everyone ✊🏻 after yesterday's fight, emotions have settled down. This is the first such case in my career, I performed a lot in amateurs, professionals and never broke the rules. I was well prepared, but what happened, already happened."
Ramazanov means no ill will for Soldic and hopes he recovers well:

"I wish my opponent a speedy recovery, he is a strong fighter, respect to him and his team, but we have to check who is stronger. When everything is ready by the organization [ONE Championship] we will definitely make a rematch. Best of luck to everyone."
Ramazanov and Soldic were fighting for a top contender position to challenge double world champion 'The Warrior' Christian Lee. With those stakes in mind, the Dagestani is looking for a rematch against 'Robocop'.
Murad Ramazanov discusses ONE welterweight world champion Christian Lee
'The Warrior' recently captured the ONE welterweight world championship, becoming a two-division world titleholder in the process. Now, Dagestan's Murad Ramazanov wants a piece of the world champion.
Ahead of his Soldic bout, Ramazanov explained to ONE Championship:
“I think I deserved [the world title shot after beating Zebaztian Kadestam], but if the company’s management decided that I needed to smash another guy on the way to the top, it’s okay. I think one more fight and I should be given a title shot.”
Singaporean-American Christian Lee is keeping a close eye on Soldic and Murad Ramazanov as he knows he will be facing one of them down the line. In an interview with ONE, the world champ Lee said:
“I know for sure it’s going to be one of those two [Soldic or Ramazanov] that’s next in line... I think that Ramazanov was already in line for a title shot before that fight. So I don’t see any other welterweight contenders that they would put ahead of the line for a title shot.”
