Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ) megastar and ONE Championship newcomer Dante Leon made his promotional debut inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, at ONE Fight Night 26 this past Friday, Dec. 6. Needless to say, it was a memorable outing for the three-time IBJJF Pan American No-Gi gold medalist.
Speaking exclusively with the world's largest martial arts promotion after the event, Leon said:
"It just feels like that energy is shooting through your body while you're competing and it's special, and it's really unique."

Leon's feelings about competing in the hallowed halls of the Lumpinee Stadium are shared by many ONE athletes, especially Muay Thai fighters, because the stadium has hosted many of the most legendary showdowns in 'The Art of Eight Limbs'.
Fans warmly received the Pedigo Submission Fighting athlete when he was introduced prior to his lightweight submission grappling bout with ONE featherweight MMA star and decorated grappler Bruno Pucci.
Leon reciprocated the love and support shown to him by putting together an electrifying sequence of moves that led to 'Puccibull' tapping out at the 2:01 mark.
Dante Leon eyeing more performance bonuses in future outings
Dante Leon received a $50,000 performance bonus from ONE Championship Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong following his finish of Bruno Pucci, and he made it clear that he wants more of it in his future showings.
A grateful Leon told ONE commentator Mitch Chilson during the post-fight interview:
"Chatri, thank you. Keep the bonuses ready because I'm ready to put on a lot of performances like that. I'm just excited. I'm ready [for] this. I'm ready to be in ONE."
