Conor McGregor and Jake Paul have long feuded with each other and the YouTuber-turned-boxer has repeatedly called for a boxing fight. While the blockbuster matchup is far from coming to fruition, a former training partner of McGregor has a confident prediction in favor of Paul.

Paulie Malignaggi famously sparred with the Irishman ahead of the Floyd Mayweather fight and the two fell out in its aftermath. Malignaggi's sparring footage was leaked and seemingly showed him getting knocked down by McGregor, although he has claimed otherwise.

Malignaggi said in an interview with Betway:

"I think Jake Paul would knock Conor out. Conor is too susceptible to those loopy shots and Jake hits hard enough that only needs to hit you with one or two of them. I think Conor has decent sharp shots but I don't think Conor has the discipline to stay with those little sharp shots for a certain amount of rounds. I think he would fall apart because he doesn't have a lot of heart. Conor has no ball."

The former two-weight boxing champion believes Jake Paul can knock out Conor McGregor if the fight is drawn out:

"I think he would do okay for a couple of rounds, but if you didn't get Jake out in a couple of rounds, I think Jake would knock him out, and he would probably knock on out with a big shot. Conor’s a frontrunner, a guy who's good early on. But as a fight wears on he breaks down. He doesn't have the character to withstand a long fight. Typically frontrunners have no heart. So I think Jake would have a disadvantage early because I think Conor's sharper with his one-two." [h/t Mirror]

Conor McGregor believes Francis Ngannou should have stayed in the UFC

Conor McGregor weighed in on Francis Ngannou's recent mega signing with the PFL.

Ngannou ended weeks of speculation about his future after exiting the UFC earlier in the year and announced his signing with the PFL. His newest deal affords him key roles in the promotion and guarantees a hefty pay for him and his opponents.

Conor McGregor stated in an interview with Matchroom Boxing that staying would have made more sense for 'The Predator'.

“I’m happy for Francis. Fair play to him. He’s done his thing. I still think he should have came to a resolution with the UFC. Who’s he going to fight that’s going to capture the general public? There’s no one. There’s no matchup that I can even think of... I wish him well and I’m happy for him, he got equity and all the rest of it but he should have stayed. They’re stubborn in the UFC, as well."
