MMA fans throughout the world have found inspiration in Alex Pereira's path. Pereira was born and raised in Favela, worked at a tire shop, and struggled with alcoholism. The Brazilian fighter began his career in kickboxing, won the GLORY world middleweight championship in 2017, and then went on to become a two-division UFC champion.
After acquiring a Blue Lamborghini Huracan Performante in 2023, 'Poatan' just shared a picture of the stunning home he bought for his parents, which appears to be a Thanksgiving gift.
Pereira shared the news with his fans and well-wishers on X by posting a picture of himself eating lunch at his parent's old house, along with an image of the new house he bought for them. He also thanked God for his blessings, which allowed him to buy the new house.

Magomed Ankalaev hints at his possible 2025 fight with Alex Pereira
After five back-to-back wins against Khalil Rountree Jr., Jiří Procházka, and Jamahal Hill among others, Alex Pereira has been out of the octagon for a few months.
While no official announcement about his next bout has been made yet, Russian fighter Magomed Ankalaev, teased a fight with 'Poatan' in a recent Q&A with TASS. He said:
“Pereira has not yet agreed to the fight. But sooner or later it will happen, I think the fight can take place in May.” [H/t: Championship Rounds]
This would mark a much-needed seven-month break for the champion, who fought three times in that period this year.
Ankalaev's goals are to fight Periera in March 2025 and, if the Brazilian light heavyweight champion champ loses, to rematch him in July. Then, in October, he plans to fight Hill or Procházka.
