Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ) star and ONE Championship submission grappling athlete Dante Leon has competed in tournaments worldwide and faced many greats. However, he believes nothing compares to the closeness that ONE athletes have with one another.
In an interview with the world's largest martial arts promotion, the Pedigo Submission Fighting affiliate explained his thoughts on the matter:
"ONE has been amazing. Everything about it has been super unique and superclass, as far as the treatment from the organization, the acceptance from the fans and from the employees here, the camaraderie amongst the fighters."

"You know, the back room, it's like a hockey team back there. Everybody's cheering for everybody. Everybody's there to help each other out. Feels like a sports team."
The two-time IBJJF No-Gi World Champion competed in his second bout in ONE last Friday, Jan. 10, at ONE Fight Night 27, where he met Norwegian rival Tommy Langaker in a catchweight (180 pounds) submission grappling bout.
Five years removed since losing to the Wulfing Academy product during the 2018 IBJJF Pan-American Championships, Leon exacted his revenge via unanimous decision.
Dante Leon aiming to challenge either Kade or Tye Ruotolo for ONE Championship gold
Dante Leon expects to face the best in ONE. In his pursuit of gold, he is open to challenging either ONE lightweight submission grappling world champion Kade Ruotolo or his twin brother and welterweight submission grappling king Tye Ruotolo.
Leon said as much during ONE Fight Night 27's media day:
"But for me 170 or 185 is feasible, is doable, and either one of them. I have a history with Tye, I don't have any history with Kade, as far as matches go. Both those matches interest me and have a little different storyline to them."
