"Everyone sees it" - Liam Harrison looks back at how far Muay Thai has come thanks to ONE Championship

Liam Harrison has seen the sport come a long way
Liam Harrison has seen the sport come a long way.

Having discovered Muay Thai 25 years ago when he was just 13 years old, Liam Harrison hasn't looked back ever since. The British veteran is a legend of the sport with a career that ticks off nearly every box possible.

As Harrison has made his own way through the sport and crafted a legendary career for himself, he has watched as it has changed and shifted over time. 'The Hitman' is happy to see the sport that he has dedicated his life to growing bigger and bigger because, for him, he would be doing it whether people were watching him or not.

Harrison reflected on that in a recent interview with MMA TV where he spoke about the evolution that he has witnessed firsthand. Before the glitz and the glamor that you now see today in striking sports, he was heading out to Thailand to test himself in far less ideal circumstances.

Liam Harrison is closing this chapter once and for all

There will not be a day when Liam Harrison doesn't wake up and think about training or competing in Muay Thai. The sport is in his blood because of how much time he has spent dedicating everything he has to his craft.

However, he also knows that father time waits for no man and at one stage or another, he'll have to hang up the gloves. That day is drawing closer and Liam Harrison is well aware that if he wants to go out with respect, he has to make the right call.

'The Hitman' is set to finally return at ONE 168 where he competes in a battle of striking veterans against Seksan.

Tickets for ONE 168: Denver on September 6 are available via Ticketmaster.
