Polarizing MMA personality Dillon Danis is once again making rounds in the MMA media with his new set of allegations that are somewhere between surprising and outright ridiculous. In a recent tweet, the former Jiu-jitsu brown belt world champion made claims that a myriad of former UFC fighters allegedly declined fights with him.

Danis wrote on X:

"So far, Nate Diaz, Darren Till, Jorge Masvidal, Mike Perry, and Anthony Pettis have all declined MMA fights with me, opting instead for boxing matches or rule sets that put me at a disadvantage. I’m sick of this; I just want to fight and am actively pursuing the best opponents outside the UFC to show the world what I’m capable of. Everyone is literally scared to fight me in MMA — any promoter or promotion can confirm it."

Fans aren't buying it, with the aptly named @Realityman22 saying:

"Everyone thinks you are a goof."

Meanwhile, Dkain_THAGOD said:

"Knock it off man like I respect you as a fighter but this avenue like you're the greatest fighter in mma is crazy. You've fought like twice against dudes that I could beat. Get in a promotion get fights and work then the world will respect your fighting skills then you can talk"

Dillon Danis hasn't won a fight since 2019

Regardless of all the talk, the numbers will always speak the loudest. After losing to Gordon Ryan at the ADCC World Championships in 2017, Dillon Danis began transitioning into MMA. He first got some traction online when he was seen helping Irish megastar Connor McGregor as a Jiu-jitsu coach.

Dillon Danis made his pro-MMA debut at Bellator 198 in 2018, submitting Kyle Walker with a toe hold in the first round. He followed it up more than a year later by submitting Max Humphrey with an armbar, also in the first round.

After his win over Humphrey, the Jiu-jitsu blackbelt has been mostly fighting outside the cage, getting into verbal back-and-forths with fans and fellow fighters alike. He was also a prominent figure in the UFC 229 brawl, seen to be instigating a fight with Khabib Nurmagomedov outside the cage.

A boxing match against KSI was booked in late 2022 but was later scrapped after Danis pulled out due to not being prepared enough. He then took a whole year to fight his next fight, a six-round boxing match against YouTuber-turned-boxer-turned-pro-wrestler Logan Paul.

Danis lost via DQ after trying to fight Paul after the bell. Before being disqualified, Danis was largely getting dominated, barely throwing a punch in the entire bout. As of this writing, no official bout has been booked yet for the controversial MMA/boxing personality.
