“Everything can happen” - Nabil Anane says fans shouldn’t be surprised if he scores upset win over Nico Carrillo for interim belt 

6-foot-4 tall Muay Thai phenom Nabil Anane of Algeria and Thailand urges fans not to act shocked if he ends up beating No.2-ranked opponent Nico Carrillo at ONE 170 this weekend to take home the gold.

Anane is set to compete against 'King of the North' for the interim throne, and he says he has just as much a shot at the strap as his Scottish foe.

Speaking to ONE Championship in a recent interview, Anane says he is fully prepared to score the biggest win of his career.

The 20-year-old Team Mehdi Zatout representative said:

"I do my best in my training. I give my 100 percent. How it goes in the ring is just how it goes. For sure, I go for the win, but everything can happen, and everything can happen to him too – not only me."

With reigning divisional king 'The Kicking Machine' Superlek Kiatmoo9 out of commission due to injury, the young Anane has the perfect chance to etch his name in history and set up a unification bout with his tormentor in the near future.

It all comes down to ONE 170 this weekend in Bangkok.
