Aung La N Sang is excited about his upcoming clash with Shamil Erdogan.
16 months removed from his second-round submission victory over Fan Rong at ONE Fight Night 10, 'The Burmese Python' returns to the Circle looking for his fourth-straight victory on martial arts' biggest global stage.
Standing in his way at ONE 168: Denver on Friday, September 6 will be undefeated standout Shamil Erdogan who has his sights on a middleweight title opportunity.

Speaking with Cageside Press ahead of fight night, the former two-division ONE world champion is excited about the opportunity to prove to everyone—especially his opponent—that he's as dangerous as ever despite being on the backend of his career.
"Everything about this fight excited me," Aung La said. "Them calling me an easy fight. Him being undefeated, you know. Everything about this fight excited me."
After losing three out of four, including back-to-back bouts against Reinier de Ridder, Aung La has seen a career resurgence, scoring a trio of finishes in his last three outings.
Shamil Erdogan previews upcoming fight: "Prepare to dive into deep waters."
As confident as Aung La N Sang is, Shamil Erdogan believes he's simply on a different level than the Myanmar superstar, and he'll be happy to prove it when they go toe-to-toe in a high-stakes middleweight matchup.
"It's unlikely that he will be able to defend against my attacks. I'm on a different level in wrestling, so he should prepare to dive into deep waters."
Shamil Erdogan is a perfect 9-0 in his mixed martial arts career, including an impressive first-round finish against the aforementioned Fan Rong in his promotional debut at ONE Friday Fights 22.
Will he make it 10 straight and take one step closer toward a potential clash with three-division champion Anatoly Malykhin, or will Aung La continue his climb back up the rankings with another impressive finish?
