Third-ranked ONE bantamweight MMA competitor Kwon Won Il has never lacked confidence in his abilities, but he can also admit when he needs to polish them up in the hopes of becoming a ONE world champion.
Luckily for 'Pretty Boy', he will have such an opportunity in the co-main event of ONE 170 on Friday, Jan. 24, where he will challenge Brazilian rival Fabricio Andrade for the 145-pound MMA crown.
In an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda MMA, Kwon made it clear that fans will get to see the best version of him yet inside the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand. He stated:
"From MMA skills to mentality. Everything was fixed and changed."

Kwon's stand-up game is arguably one of the best in the world, but his defeat to Andrade in their June 2022 world title eliminator lingered in his mind as it was the only time he had been knocked out during his ONE tenure.
The South Korean striker rebounded by producing three straight TKO wins over Mark Abelardo in November 2022, Artem Belakh in June 2023, and Shinechagtga Zoltsetseg last January.
Fans had not seen him compete inside the circle since then, which makes his upcoming rematch with Andrade for the bantamweight MMA division's top prize even more exciting.

Fabricio Andrade remains wary of Kwon Won Il's striking ahead of rematch
Fabricio Andrade may have some idea of how Kwon Won Il will attempt to dethrone him owing to their first encounter. However, he will not allow overconfidence to dictate his strategy against the much-improved Kwon.
In a recent interview with ONE, Andrade said:
"He's a very aggressive guy, has very good boxing, and works well with punches to the waistline. He's a young guy and still has a lot to improve, but he can't be underestimated."
