Thai legend and former longtime ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion Nong-O Hama is looking to make it two in a row when he returns to the ONE Championship ring in a few weeks' time.

The 37-year-old veteran fighter will attempt to build on his impressive victory over young gun Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai last April by adding another highly regarded contender to his hit list.

This time, he takes on surging Russian star Kiamran Nabati at ONE Friday Fights.

Speaking to the South China Morning Post in a recent interview, Nong-O shared updates from training camp.

The Thai legend said:

"I think my condition is nearly at 100 percent. I think two more weeks I would be at 100 percent so it shouldn't be anything to be worried [about]. I've trained very hard. Everything is good."

Nabati has proven to be a formidable force in the ONE Championship ring, and a legitimate threat to Nong-O's most recent run of success.

The Russian star joined the world's largest martial arts organization in September 2023, debuting with a unanimous decision win over Pongsiri PK Saenchai. He then followed up that performance with a resounding points victory over highly regarded Avatar PK Saenchai.

Then, he proved himself ready to take on the former champ and legend with a first-round knockout of Suablack Tor Pran49 just last June at ONE Friday Fights 68.

Now, Nabati likely gets the chance to earn a spot on ONE Championship's main roster, if he can defeat the legendary Nong-O.
