Superbon's track record of gaining revenge is something that Tawanchai PK Saenchai is keeping in mind before they cross paths on martial arts' grandest stage once more in under 24 hours.

The ONE featherweight Muay Thai world champion defends his gold against the Superbon Training Camp founder in the main event of ONE 170, which emanates live in Asia primetime from the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.

In an interview with Nick Atkin ahead of the promotion's first numbered event of 2025, Tawanchai was asked about whether or not the challenger's history of pulling one back is something that worries him.

In response, Tawanchai said he's ready to put the lid on that theory to emerge victorious against the promotion's featherweight kickboxing king:

"I really trained well, and I have a lot of motivation to win this fight. I understand that he has not lost in any of his rematches, but everything happens for a first time."

Superbon, who boasts a 116-36 resume, has indeed proven to be the master of acing rematches.

The Muay Thai and kickboxing icon suffered a loss to Sitthichai Stisongpeenong in early 2016 but drew level in their series with a striking clinic just five months later.

In February 2018, Marat Grigorian knocked him out in their kickboxing joust in China in just 29 seconds.

However, he bested the Armenian in their rematch and trilogy at ONE X and ONE Friday Fights 58, respectively, to take a 2-1 lead in their head-to-head rivalry.

Whether or not he can do the same to avenge his majority decision defeat to Tawanchai at ONE Friday Fights 46 remains to be seen.

But if history serves as a lesson, the PK Saenchai man better be ready for an absolute war in 'The Land of Smiles' this week.

Fabricio Andrade on the fence for Superbon-Tawanchai II: "Hard for me to pick a clear winner"

Fabricio Andrade, who defends his ONE bantamweight MMA world championship against 'Pretty Boy' Kwon Won Il in the ONE 170 co-main event, expects an absolute war to break loose when Superbon and Tawanchai run it back.

However, the Brazilian fighter admits it's hard to side with just one party as both men pack everything one can ask for in a complete striker.

When asked for his prediction on the all-Thai showdown this Friday, 'Wonder Boy' said:

"Superbon versus Tawanchai, that's an interesting one. It's a bit hard for me to pick a clear winner I think. But, you know, based on the first fight, I can say that this one will be explosive. Two of the best strikers meeting again, you can't ask for more."

ONE 170 will be available at watch.onefc.com this Friday, Jan. 24.
