Veteran Algerian-French fighter Anissa Meksen says she will enter her scheduled title match next month in Thailand in the best of shape and ready to mix up to get a win.
'C18' will vie for the inaugural ONE women's strawweight kickboxing world title against Filipino-American fighter Jackie Buntan at ONE 169: Malykhin vs. Reug Reug on Nov. 8. It is one of four world title matches on offer in the event happening at the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok and airing live and for free in U.S. primetime to North American fans with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription.
In an interview with ONE Championship in line with her title bid in her next fight, Anissa Meksen shared how her preparation has been and the form she will be in come fight night, saying:

"My camp is the same every time, but of course, I adapt my style against my opponent. I'm in my best shape now. I've trained hard, and everything is perfect."

ONE 169 marks the second time Anissa Meksen will shoot for a world title after that in her last fight in December 2023 where she vied for the interim atomweight kickboxing world title but lost to Thai sensation Phetjeeja by decision. It was her first loss in four matches so far in ONE Championship.
Meanwhile, looking to frustrate her while also pushing her world championship goals is Buntan, who is currently riding a three-fight winning streak after losing in her bid for the inaugural ONE women's strawweight Muay Thai world title to Sweden's Smilla Sundell in April 2022.
Anissa Meksen seeks to make history by winning inaugural ONE women's strawweight kickboxing title
Anissa Meksen is viewing her upcoming match with Jackie Buntan at ONE 169 on Nov. 8 with a lot of significance and is looking to come up with a win to make history as the first ONE women's strawweight kickboxing world champion.
The 36-year-old striker spoke about this in an interview with ONE Championship ahead of her marquee match with Buntan, saying:
"It's the inaugural belt. It's history. It really will be amazing to get this title."
Anissa Meksen has been competing as a striker since 2008 and has a professional record of 103 wins and six losses. She hopes to further solidify her legacy by adding a ONE world title to her list of achievements.
