ONE Fight Night 27 last Friday, Jan. 10, featured an explosive encounter between Muay Thai stars Luke Lessei and promotional debutant Cody Jerome. The event occurred inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
Eager to earn his second victory under the ONE banner, 'The Chef' cooked up a violent storm of offense and secured a TKO triumph in just two minutes. Lessei's performance was so stunning that ONE Championship Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong awarded him a $50,000 performance bonus.
Speaking exclusively with the world's largest martial arts promotion after the event, Lessei said:
"Yeah, I feel really happy with my performance. Of course, when I watch it back, there are always going to be little things that I want to make look better, but taking the fight in as a whole, everything went to plan. The game plan worked perfectly, and yeah, it pretty much went exactly how we expected it to go."

The 28-year-old enforced his will early and quickly against Jerome, dropping him with a vicious body kick a minute into their catchweight (160.5 pounds) Muay Thai matchup.
Lessei stepped on the gas and knocked down Jerome twice within the next minute to invoke the three-knockdown rule and win via TKO.
Luke Lessei ready to fight again very soon
Luke Lessei practically emerged unscathed in his lightning-quick finish of Cody Jerome, and he is ready to step back inside the circle as soon as possible.
The American said during the post-event press conference:
"Yeah, I came out of that fight untouched, so I'm ready to get back in there, honestly, ASAP. Yeah, whenever, you know, get another good camp in, another like six to eight-week camp, and then we're good to go. Make sure we're dialed in."
