Joe Rogan was recently dethroned by a former NFL star's wife on the Spotify podcast charts. Many considered it a massive accomplishment, as Rogan has long reigned as one of the top podcast moguls, whereas she debuted her podcast -- Not Gonna Lie -- only in December 2024.

The person in question is none other than Kylie Kelce, wife of ex-NFL player Jason Kelce, who's the older brother of current NFL staple Travis Kelce. Citing Kylie's recent interview with The New York Times, The Spun highlighted how the new podcaster addressed her podcast's success. She opined it was because of:

" ... the promise that you're not going to get lied to."

Kelce further indicated that though she couldn't care less about topping the podcast charts, Rogan's fans allegedly getting "triggered" truly gets her going. The hockey player-turned-coach brought up her political views and reaffirmed they were:

Kelce explained that she aims to put forth content that people want to consume, adding that she's fine with having the top podcast rank for whatever amount of time and doesn't want that part of her work to cause any conflict. She's consistently maintained that she intends to give her children a grounded upbringing rather than worry about podcasting stats and other issues.

Moreover, Page Six also cited a section from Kelce's NYT conversation, which alluded to her podcast episodes generally being around 45 minutes in length, while some of Rogan's podcast episodes end up exceeding three hours. Kelce underscored that the length of her podcast episodes was set, taking into consideration and prioritizing busy women's timelines.

Kylie also acknowledged the high-profile relationship that her brother-in-law, NFL star Travis, has been in with American musician and vocal supporter of the deemed left-wing politics, Taylor Swift. Kylie implied that the podcast was her space-cum-medium to set the record straight about her family and more amid fan speculation generated by the Travis-Taylor relationship.

She emphasized she'd love to host ex-U.S. First Lady and Democratic Party supporter Michelle Obama, on her podcast. Additionally, she acknowledged her self-admittedly "aggressive" socio-political leanings might elicit criticism. Signaling that she remains unfazed, Kylie said:

"I mean this in the most respectful way... I don't care what other people have to say."

A closer look at the Joe Rogan vs. Kylie Kelce podcast chart battle

Kylie Kelce claims her Not Gonna Lie podcast's tenet is, as the name suggests, not to lie and to present the truth. Akin to UFC color commentator Joe Rogan's (The Joe Rogan Experience) podcast, Kelce's show also features various public personalities who are regarded as highly accomplished in their fields. Kelce's podcast dethroned JRE for the No. 1 spot on Spotify two weeks after its debut.

Per Page Six, Kelce's podcast boasted the No. 1 spot on Spotify for 10 days at a stretch but has since been alternating between the first and second positions with Rogan's podcast. Presently, Kelce's podcast is also the No. 1-ranked on Apple podcasts.

Various deemed right-wing political commentators have questioned the meteoric rise of Kelce's podcast, hosted by her and produced by Wave Sports + Entertainment. As for Kelce, the mother to three daughters, who's currently expecting her fourth child, has firmly expressed her disagreement with Rogan's views and supporters.
