Joe Rogan invites people from diverse fields to his podcast The Joe Rogan Experience. It has doctors, scientists, actors, sportspersons, politicians, and people from different walks of life as its guests. In one of its recent episodes, Rogan was joined by a former Texas Governor who was full of praise for Donald Trump's policies.

Rick Perry, the 47th Governor of Texas, USA sat down with Joe Rogan and W. Bryan Hubbard in episode No. 2251 of The Joe Rogan Experience. The trio talked on a host of issues, eventually leading Perry to applaud Donald Trump's veteran support and justice reform efforts. He credited President-elect Trump for his nuanced and sensitive approach toward veterans and for developing a better justice system that won't encourage "professional criminals."

Elucidating on the mental trauma and PTSD veterans generally suffer from and the steps being taken to address such cases, the ex-Texas Governor said:

"In the compound of Ibigaine is that... As you warned people in your remarks about don't go out there and buy it on the internet, go self medicate yourself because there's a real opportunity that it won't turn out good but properly dosed, properly diagonosed, properly followed up with this can be a compound that literally can change millions of lives. Right now we're focused on the veterans because of the PTSD, the traumatic brain injury."

Perry followed up, saying:

"We work pretty hard in the state of Texas to come up with ways to not send people to prison. We put Criminal Justice Reform in place in the early 2000s' here and it was a model...a matter of fact it was a model that President Trump used to put National Criminal Justice Reform in place to be able to intervene before people ever went to prison where they would become professional criminals."

When Joe Rogan felt that Conor McGregor's fighting days are over

It has been over three years since Conor McGregor has competed inside the octagon. He broke his leg in a fight against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 and has since then stayed out of the competition. Although McGregor was expected to return at UFC 303, the bout couldn't materialize.

Expressing doubts over 'The Notorious' returning to the UFC amidst his legal troubles, Joe Rogan spoke on one of the episodes of The Joe Rogan Experience and said:

"I don’t know if Conor’s ever gonna fight again. I don’t know the real details of that case. I know his version of it and her version of it and what played out in the court. But the reality is that guy’s partying, and he’s partying real hard. And he talked about it in the court case. He’s talking about cocaine."

McGregor was announced to lock horns with Michael Chandler at UFC 303 in his return to the UFC. A foot injury forced him to withdraw from the bout. In the latter half of 2024, McGregor was rocked by a rape case in which the former two-division champ lost a civil trial.
