A former UFC star who wants Vine back has shared his reaction to the billionaire reviving the now-defunct application.

The news of SpaceX CEO reviving Vine was shared by Watcher Guru on X. The headline caught the attention of 41-year-old American combatant Derek Brunson, who wrote in support of the application's revival:

"Bring vine back lol"

Check out Derek Brunson's comments below:

The ByteDance-owned TikTok is a Chinese company and has made lawmakers believe that the Chinese government can access American data in this manner. As a result, the app has faced a ban.

Meanwhile, Vine was founded by Rus Yusupov, Colin Kroll, and Dom Hofmann in June 2012. It was an American short-form video hosting service and allowed users to share up to six-second looping video clips. Twitter (now X) acquired the application in October 2012 for $30 million.

In 2015, the application had over 200 million active users. However, in 2017, it was shut down by Twitter as the app lost popularity to its competitors.

TikTok spokesperson denies rumors of selling its US operations to Elon Musk

From Elon Musk to MrBeast to Mark Zuckerberg, the internet has been waiting for one of the billionaires to step in and save TikTok. Meanwhile, President-elect Donald Trump also revealed to citizens that they must abide by the Supreme Court’s decision on the app ban. However, once he takes over as president, he will review the situation and the ban.

Musk has not responded to the rumors about him buying TikTok. However, a TikTok spokesperson told BBC News that the rumors of the Tesla CEO buying the app are "pure fiction" and refused to comment on the same. The spokesperson told the media house:

"We can't be expected to comment on pure fiction"
