A former UFC fighter recently criticized Israel Adesanya for his remarks on Dricus du Plessis. Adesanya is set to make his highly anticipated return in a middleweight title fight against du Plessis at UFC 305 this weekend in a grudge match.

Former UFC middleweight Darren Till has now claimed that Adesanya should refrain from discussing personal lives too much as it will not benefit him in his fight against du Plessis.

For context, in a recent interview with TMZ Sports, Adesanya criticized du Plessis for considering himself to be the first "real" African champion. The Nigerian-born Kiwi brought up Abdul Razak Alhassan's remarks prior to UFC Denver, in which he referred to 'Stillknocks' as a "b**ch."

"Abdul Razak [Alhassan] said it three weeks ago before his fight. Dricus is a b**ch for what he's saying... People like Razak and myself who were forced to flee our own country because of a better opportunity, [du Plessis] will never understand that because he lives behind the f**king gates of his privileged life in South Africa."

'The Last Stylebender' argued that du Plessis' claim to be the first African champion ignores the contributions of past champions such as Francis Ngannou, Kamaru Usman, and himself.

"Without Francis [Ngannou] being champion, without myself being champion, without Kamaru [Usman] being champion, he would have never been champion.''

This infuriated Till, who slammed Adesanya for his recent remarks, claiming that the best man will prevail in the octagon and that these things won't matter. The Englishman wrote:

''I think Izzy is talking way 2 much about like personal lives…Use are both gonna fight in the octagon and it’s not gonna really matter all of this the best man is gonna win…Basically. Shut the f**k up Izzy.''

Israel Adesanya predicts Dricus du Plessis fight at UFC 305

Israel Adesanya is set to headline UFC 305 in a title clash against Dricus du Plessis this Saturday.

Riding high on confidence following his victories over Robert Whittaker and Sean Strickland, du Plessis seeks to establish himself as a dominant force in the division. Meanwhile, Adesanya is committed to pulling off a victorious comeback to the championship ranks in an attempt to recapture the title he previously held.

In a recent interview with Stake, Adesanya gave a strong prediction for his fight, saying:

''You watch this, in 10 days, I’m going to smoke this fool. I’ve been here before, but I’ll play the game a little differently this time.” [H/t: MMA Mania]
