Conor McGregor has been embroiled in deep controversy as of late, which many believe could land him in season two of the 'Dark Side of the Cage' documentary series by Vice TV. However, Tim Healy, the show's producer, has a different thought, detailing it in an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda.

As Healy mentioned that he has to be selective about the fighters he chooses to cover in the series, he touched on how frequently social media platforms like Reddit have been referring to McGregor as a potential future point of focus in the series due to his current trajectory.

"I mean, I've noticed on Reddit and social media recently, everyone's making jokes about, if Conor keeps going the way that he's going, he'd be great for season two."

However, Healy disagrees with the rhetoric about the UFC star, and does not yet see him as a figure of interest for the series.

"I don't think that's true, at all. But there is a long list of fighters that we would really like to profile. I really wanted to do Wanderlei Silva in season one, but I just, you know. Like I said, we're doing a season one show, so we really wanted to go with names that had a little bit of a broader appeal."

Unfortunately for McGregor, he has struggled to keep himself out of trouble. The Irish High Court recently found him liable for assaulting Nikita Hand in an incident dating back to Dec. 2018. The fallout from the verdict, which the Irishman contested, led to a slew of business-related consequences.

Moreover, many who once supported McGregor have since renounced him, with a gym in Ireland even painting over his mural.

Conor McGregor is facing another lawsuit related to sexual assault

Back in 2023, Conor McGregor was at Game Four of the 2023 NBA Finals held in Miami, Florida. At the time, he was accused of sexually assaulting a woman in a stadium bathroom. While a police investigation ensued, the charges were dropped. However, he is now facing a lawsuit related to the incident.

As per the New York Post, the lawsuit was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, with the plaintiff opting to keep her identity out of the public eye. Not only does the lawsuit accuse McGregor of sexual and physical assault, it also lists the Miami Heat as a defendant.
