Ben Davies recently opened up about his dream MMA opponent and explained why he wanted to face "the worst UFC fighter of all time" in the cage. Davis is among the most popular MMA personalities on social media today and is known for his work as a commentator and on-air talent.

Davis will face fellow MMA personality Oscar Willis in an amateur lightweight bout at BKFC 67 in Spain next month. Willis is widely known to be the face of The Mac Life platform and is among the most well-known MMA reporters today.

Having tried his hand at nearly all combat sports disciplines, 'The Bane' recently discussed the possibility of stepping into the cage for his mixed martial arts debut. In an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda MMA, Davis explained why he wanted Mike Jackson as his opponent and said:

"I think there's only one thing left for me to do, which is a mixed martial arts bout after this bare-knuckle experience... So I've considered, 'Okay, who would I want to do an MMA fight against?' and the name that just keeps circulating in my brain is the consensus worst UFC fighter of all time, which is Mike 'The Truth' Jackson."

Davis continued:

"I want something I can win, I don't want to go in there and someone's going to beat my ass. I'm not interested in doing that again."

Ben Davis opens up on how Oscar Willis bare-knuckle fight came about

In terms of combat sports experience, Ben Davis lost to Brad Boulton in a grappling match last May, then lost to Gabriel Silva in a boxing match last September before winning his Karate Combat debut against Zuriel Rudi Ayo in June.

As mentioned, Davis will try his hand at bare-knuckle boxing next. Ahead of his BKFC 67 fight against Oscar Willis, 'The Bane' opened up about how the fight was booked. In the same interview with Sportskeeda MMA, he said:

"He called me, he came up to me about two months ago and articulated that it just made sense for him... Obviously, with Conor [McGregor] being an investor and part-owner of BKFC, there's some justification for them to push BKFC on their platform. In Oscar's very twisted and demented mind, he was like, 'Well, maybe I should fight' because that would maybe help justify that increased exposure."

He continued:

"When they were examining options for opponents, there really is only one guy that made sense and that's yours truly." [0:45 mark onwards]
