Darren Till has expressed his disbelief and disappointment following Tommy Fury’s withdrawal from their scheduled boxing match. The pre-fight tension between the pair, which escalated at a November press conference, has now culminated in Fury pulling out, citing concerns over Till potentially resorting to mixed martial arts tactics.
Till has strongly criticized Fury's decision. The initial press conference saw heated exchanges between the two British fighters, with trash talk and a brief physical altercation that required security intervention.
In a recent appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show, Till articulated his frustration, saying:
"It's extremely shameful and extremely bad on his part. You've got a commitment in place to fight and you just pull out. Not even because of an injury. Because of some mean, nasty words were said to you."

He added:
"Before the press conference, he was actually saying on a Misfit interview, 'If Darren wants to get crazy, we can get crazier; there's no one crazier than the Furys,’ and stuff like that. It's shone a bad light on John [Fury] and Tommy. It really has. And even Tyson [Fury]. They've always prided themselves on being a fighting family.”

The bout was supposed to be Fury’s first fight since his victory over Misfits Boxing founder KSI in Oct. 2023. The cancellation leaves Till without an opponent and casts a shadow over the planned event.
KSI calls Tommy Fury a "coward" for pulling out of his fight against Darren Till
KSI has accused Tommy Fury of cowardice after the latter withdrew from his boxing match against Darren Till.
The YouTuber-turned-boxer stated that Fury's withdrawal was not due to concerns about the fight rules, as previously claimed, but fear of facing Till. KSI claimed that Fury was intimidated by Till during their pre-fight press conference:
“Tommy Fury is just a f***ing p**** and didn’t want to get in the ring with Darren because I think he got intimidated by him, simple as that, f*** Tommy Fury."
He added:
“He got dropped by Molly Mae [Hague, his ex-fiancee], he’s a deadbeat father and he should go f*** himself. I mean let’s be real, what’s the point of Tommy Fury? Like, without Molly Mae he’s nothing. He’s not even that great at boxing, he struggled with me!”
