Nabil Anane had one of the roughest possible introductions into ONE Championship. The young striker arrived in the promotion with plenty of promise but he didn't get the opportunity to show that on his debut.
At ONE Friday Fights 22, he faced arguably the best in the world in current two-weight and two-sport world champion Superlek Kiatmoo9. He was stopped in the opening round, but coming up short against 'The Kicking Machine' isn't that big of a setback. Anane has proved that ever since.
Following this defeat, he has won four in a row to find himself in the top five of the bantamweight Muay Thai division.
Some huge wins and devastating finishes over the likes of Felipe Lobo, Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai, and Nakrob Fairtex have shown what he is truly capable of.

Ahead of his return at ONE Friday Fights 81 on Sept. 27, ONE Championship shared a video that detailed his remarkable rise after facing adversity early on:
"Eyes on the prize. Can fourth-ranked bantamweight Muay Thai contender Nabil Anane keep his winning streak going against Myanmar star Soe Lin Oo at ONE Friday Fights 81?"
Nabil Anane gets the fans excited whenever he competes
Nabil Anane has clearly shown that he has star potential. But, of course, none of that matters if he can't back it up in the ring.
The 20-year-old can certainly do that and now he looks for his fifth consecutive win when facing Soe Lin Oo at Lumpinee Stadium.
Underneath the video of his rise, the fans reacted in the replies to the post:
@fernylegit:
"imagine your debut fight being against Superlek. WARRIOR"
@fightingdad_:
"Bro was fed to the wolves and never gave up, what a story"
@harithzaidd:
"Level 1: Final boss"
@lolo_ara42:
"Champ"
