Tyson Fury didn’t hold back while sharing his thoughts on AI-assisted scoring in his rematch against Oleksandr Usyk at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The UK boxing star put on a gritty performance in a back-and-forth affair which culminated in a unanimous decision loss against Usyk.
The highly-talked-about inclusion of AI as a judge resulted in a scorecard of 118-112 in favor of Usyk, surpassing the 116-112 verdict delivered by the ringside judges. Fury, however, dismissed technology’s role in boxing and expressed staunch opposition to its implementation. His post-fight reaction wasn’t limited to the AI scoring as he criticized the growing reliance on technology in sports and society. 'The Gyspy King' also advocated for human judgment over computer algorithms.
Speaking at the post-fight press conference, Fury said:
"By the review of that [AI scoring was] absolutely sh*t. Here's one, f*ck all the computers. Keep the humans going... More jobs for humans and less jobs for computers. And f*ck electric cars too while we're at it."

The rematch, held at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, marked Fury’s second defeat at the hands of Usyk. Despite entering the fight with a better-fortified strategy, Fury struggled to impose his game plan against his rival. While he had brief moments of success, notably in the fifth and ninth rounds, Usyk’s relentless pressure and precision punches left Fury trailing as the bout progressed.
As for Usyk, the Ukrainian took control in the middle rounds after a slow start, landing clean combinations and evading Fury’s attempts to use his size advantage. By the later rounds, Usyk had cemented his dominance, leaving Fury’s corner urging him to go all out for a knockout. With this victory, Usyk improved his record to 23-0 and retained the WBA (Super), WBC, WBO, IBO, and The Ring heavyweight titles.
