Top-ranked ONE bantamweight contender Fabricio Andrade continues his mind games with John Lineker as their epic rematch at ONE Fight Night 7 looms. This Friday, February 24, the unfinished business between the heated Brazilian rivals will finally reach a satisfying conclusion.
Once the storm clears, only one will leave the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand with the shiny ONE bantamweight world title on his shoulders. Despite being laser-focused on the task at hand, ‘Wonder Boy’ just couldn’t resist taking a dig at his opponent’s controversial incident back in their first encounter last year.
The pair of headhunters put on a marvelous show at ONE on Prime Video 3 that certainly had fans on the edge of their seats. ‘Wonder Boy’ was on the cusp of victory in round 3, crushing Lineker’s ribs with his signature knee to the body.

Unfortunately, what was supposed to be his crowning moment was maligned with a bathetic ending. Andrade unintentionally kneed ‘Hands of Stone’ to the groin, rendering him unable to continue the match. In the end, what could have been a sure-fire Fight of the Year candidate turned into a disappointing no-contest.
Four months after that fight, Andrade quipped about gifting Lineker some extra layers of protection for his nether regions. Fabricio Andrade, during his ONE Fight Night 7 pre-event interview with South China Morning Post MMA, irreverently offered to bring an extra steel cup:
“I would get one more anyway, so we don’t have problems on this fight. I’ll make sure there’s no problems on this fight.”
All jokes aside, the Tiger Muay Thai spitfire will surely do everything in his power to claim the ONE bantamweight world title this time around.
ONE Fight Night 7: Andrade vs Lineker II will air live on US Primetime and will be free for all Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.

Fabricio Andrade vows to put “ an even better performance” in John Lineker rematch
Despite the unfortunate ending to their first encounter, Fabricio Andrade plans to accomplish what he set out to do against the fearsome John Lineker. ‘Wonder Boy’ survived the heavy-handed slugger’s early onslaught and lived up to his promise of outstriking the feared KO artist.
The 25-year-old is confident that he can perform so much better, especially now that he's got a firsthand taste of Lineker’s capabilities inside the Circle. In an earlier interview with The MMA Underground, Fabricio Andrade vowed to learn from his mistakes and showcase the best version of himself:
"Yes, a hundred percent, especially because I don’t think I performed at my best in the first fight so you have a chance to do your game, and to do an even better performance is something I look forward to.”
