The celebrated striker has no intention of seeing the redo go the distance and will gun for a finish if the opportunity presents itself.

He shared in a pre-event interview for ONE Fight Night 7:

“I'm going to take my time. I have 25 minutes to finish him. I don't believe I need 25 minutes to finish him. But I'm just going to be patient, and I'm going to be ready to knock him out in any set of this fight.”

Fabricio Andrade and ‘Hands of Stone’ Lineker met for the first time for the vacant ONE bantamweight world title back in October 2022. The fight prematurely ended when Lineker was unable to continue after being hit with an accidental knee in the groin midway through the contest.

Prior to the unfortunate outcome, ‘Wonder Boy’ was dominating with his spirited activity and effective striking that steadily wore down his opponent.

He has vowed to continue to be aggressive in the rematch but more precise in his attack so as not to have a repeat of the costly accidental blow in the previous fight.

ONE Fight Night 7 will take place at the famous Lumpinee Boxing Stadium and will be aired live and for free to all Prime Video subscribers in North America.

Fabricio Andrade looking for flawless performance against John Lineker in rematch

Fabricio Andrade impressed in his first showdown with John Lineker for the vacant ONE bantamweight world title and looks to do better in their rematch next week.

The two Brazilian fighters mix it up again for the world title at ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video on February 24 in Bangkok. It is a redo of their initial showdown last October, which ended in a no-contest.

While he mostly had his way over Lineker in their first encounter, Fabricio Andrade believes he still could have done better. He particularly pointed to his impatience last time in his attacks.

Andrade shared to SCMP MMA in an interview:

“Man, honestly, I think I got a bit pressured. I was just feeling a bit anxious and I wanted to finish the fight really fast.”

'Wonder Boy' added:

“And I'm sure this fight is going to be different. I'm sure I'm going to perform much better than I did in our first fight.”
