ONE bantamweight world title challenger Fabricio Andrade was very impressed with Chingiz Allazov’s second-round knockout of pound-for-pound great Superbon Singha Mawynn.
Allazov captured the ONE featherweight kickboxing world championship in spectacular fashion when he TKO’d Superbon in the main event of ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video. Speaking with The MMA Superfan, Andrade shared his enthusiasm over Allazov’s performance, saying:
“We haven't trained together but he was in Thailand to prepare for this fight. And it was definitely impressive to see him finish Superbon the way he did.
“Honestly, I haven't watched any of his training but I was not expecting him to knock him out. I know how good he is. I knew that it was going to be a good fight. But yeah, all-around [he] was very impressive.”

Next month, Fabricio Andrade will attempt to walk in Chingiz Allazov’s footsteps by capturing his own ONE world championship. ‘Wonder Boy’ will once again meet John ‘Hands of Stone’ Lineker in the ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video main event to crown a new king of ONE Championship’s bantamweight division. The card is scheduled to go down on February 25 and will air live and for free on Amazon’s Prime Video streaming service.
Fabricio Andrade confirms a move to featherweight is a possibility
Fabricio Andrade’s eyes are firmly on the 26.4 pounds of ONE Championship gold that will be up for grabs when he meets John Lineker at ONE Fight Night 7 next month. Once that goal has been accomplished, ‘Wonder Boy’ may take a long hard look at his future inside the Circle as it may not remain in the bantamweight division.
Continuing his conversation with The MMA Superfan, Andrade confirmed that a move up to featherweight could be in his future. He also revealed that a potential foray into the world of Muay Thai and kickboxing is on the cards should he walk out of Lumpinee Stadium with the ONE bantamweight world title wrapped around his waist.
"Yeah, of course, that's our option. You can see that I could fight in Muay Thai, and I could fight in kickboxing. I could go up a weight [class]."
