Fabricio Andrade has had a lot to say about John Lineker between their first fight and their upcoming rematch at ONE Fight Night 7 on February 24.

‘Wonder Boy’ is extremely confident in his own abilities and it’s hard to dispute a lot of what he says given his performance the first time he and Lineker met inside the circle.

At ONE on Prime Video 3, Andrade produced a great performance that received a lot of praise even though he was unsuccessful in winning the bantamweight world championship due to the fight ending in a no-contest.

After the way their first fight played out, Fabricio Andrade has a psychological advantage going into their rematch, knowing that if he matches the level of his performance the first time around, he will become the bantamweight world champion.

Another part of the fight that Andrade has repeatedly mocked John Lineker for after their first meeting is the idea that they had agreed to stand and trade with each other.

Andrade said before ONE on Prime Video 3 that he would turn his opponent into a grappler and that’s what happened in the fight.

In his pre-event interview ahead of ONE Fight Night 7, Andrade said that he expects Lineker to play this fight cautiously and once again try to grapple with him:

“If he comes to fight, I will knock him out at the beginning of the fight. But in the first fight, we saw that he respected my game. He was walking back a lot and trying to wrestle me, something that we agreed we wouldn't do before the fight. So coming to this fight, I'm not going to give him any chances.”

Fabricio Andrade reveals two exciting fighters he will watch at ONE Fight Night 7

At ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video, Fabricio Andrade will once again headline a huge event as he faces off against John Lineker for the vacant bantamweight world championship.

After the controversy of their first fight, which was a great contest whilst it lasted, ONE Championship fans can’t wait to see the two Brazilians run it back on February 24.

Andrade vs. Lineker 2 will serve as the main event at the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, but it’s not the only match-up that has got people eagerly anticipating February 24.

Speaking to Bonjour Sports, Fabricio Andrade previewed the fight card, pointing out two match-ups in particular that he will have his eye on before he competes in the main event of the evening:

“I’ll definitely be watching some fights. There’s Shamil [Gasanov], who’s fighting on the card as well. He’s fighting Martin Nguyen, who’s a former champion, so this would be a really exciting fight as well. Also, Tawanchai is the co-main event. He's like a Thai superstar in Thailand so I think this is gonna also be a good fight. But he fights before me so I don’t know if I’m gonna be able to watch this one.”

The entire event is live and free via Prime Video for North American viewers.
