No.2-ranked bantamweight ‘Wonder Boy’ Fabricio Andrade is a confident man. He’s certainly not lacking the youthful exuberance of a fighter who fully believes in his skills.
When he takes on veteran John Lineker for the ONE bantamweight world championship at ONE on Prime Video 3, he will get the opportunity to back up his bold talk.
The fight headlines the October 21 event, which will be broadcast live via Amazon Prime Video from the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Speaking to ONE Championship in a recent interview, Andrade said he will end this fight with the first chance he gets:
“The fight ends in the first round by knockout. No matter what, it will end in the first round. Like I said, I have a lot of weapons to use in this fight, so I’ll be ready to end the fight at any time.”
If the 25-year-old can fulfill his mission, he will become the youngest ONE bantamweight world champion in history, following in the footsteps of Filipino icon Kevin ‘The Silencer’ Belingon, Brazilian legend Bibiano ‘The Flash’ Fernandes, and Lineker himself.
Of course, facing off against Lineker, a veteran in the fight game with nearly 50 bouts under his belt, is no easy task. However, Fabricio Andrade is fully focused on claiming victory as fast as possible, something he’s grown accustomed to in the circle:
“I’m going to get in the cage, do my job, and stop him in the first round to take what’s mine.”
Fabricio Andrade wants to be the first man to stop John Lineker in MMA
‘Wonder Boy’ Fabricio Andrade joined ONE Championship in mid-2020, beating Mark Abelardo by submission. Since then, the 25-year-old has gone on to win five straight, including three first-round knockouts in his last three fights.
His incredible streak has earned him the right to face John Lineker for the ONE bantamweight world title at ONE on Prime Video 3.
While taking on Lineker is certainly not an easy task, Andrade wants to up the ante by being the first fighter ever to stop ‘Hands of Stone’ inside the distance. He wants to do it in front of millions of people watching on Prime Video and around the world.
Fabricio Andrade told ONE Championship:
“I think that not only the American audience, but the fans in general like to see knockout artists. They like to see athletes who come in to finish the fight. I believe people are already impressed with my performances, but they will be even more impressed to see me finish a guy like Lineker, who has never been knocked out in MMA.”
