Since arriving in ONE Championship, Fabricio Andrade has never been short of self-confidence.
Whilst he may have opened up about the struggles he has faced in his life and how martial arts has helped to keep him on the right path in his life, ‘Wonder Boy’ knows exactly how good he is.
Ever since his debut in the bantamweight MMA division, the Brazilian was out to prove that he was the champion in waiting, despatching contenders with style and working his way to the belt.
Even when faced with a ferocious world champion in John Lineker, Andrade maintained that he was the best in the weight class, proving it at ONE Fight Night 7 earlier this year with another destructive performance.

Claiming the bantamweight world championship, the Brazilian immediately set his sights on a new challenge under the ONE Championship banner that he believes he can conquer.
At ONE Fight Night 16, two champions will meet in the main event as both men try to secure a title in a second sport.
With the vacant ONE bantamweight kickboxing world championship on the line, Andrade will face the Muay Thai world titleholder Jonathan Haggerty.
In a recent interview with FightWave, the confidence of ‘Wonder Boy’ once again shone through but that doesn’t mean he can’t give his opponent the praise and recognition that he deserves.
Earlier this year, Haggerty shocked the world by stopping Nong-O Hama in the first round to become the undisputed bantamweight Muay Thai champion.
Whilst he believes that he will leave Lumpinee on November 3 as a two-sport world champion, Fabricio Andrade can still recognize the challenge that ‘The General’ presents:
“He’s been in ONE for a long time since they started Muay Thai and kickboxing he’s been there. He fought tough opponents you know. He has a big name behind him and he just became a world champion as well in Muay Thai, beating one of the best Muay Thai fighters that’s ever been.”
