Fabricio Andrade would love to appear at ONE’s U.S. Debut

Fabricio Andrade has had a breakout year in 2022. With two highlight reel first-round finishes and a world title fight with John Lineker, Andrade came into 2022 as an exciting contender and finished it as the top bantamweight in the organization.

Though his fight with John Lineker ended in a no contest following an unintentional foul, Andrade left ONE on Prime Video 3 with a lot of respect due to his performance.

In the last 12 months, Andrade has shown the level that he is at and is hoping to build on that in 2023 which kicks off at ONE on Prime Video 7 in his rematch with Lineker.

Just a few months on from his world title shot in 2023, ONE Championship will make their debut on US soil with ONE on Prime Video 10 in Colorado.

Recently announced as the location for the trilogy fight between Demetrious Johnson and Adriano Moraes, Fabricio Andrade was asked in an interview with ONE Championship about competing on that card. ‘Wonder Boy’ said:

“Fighting on this card would be awesome. Fighting in the U.S. and getting to know the country is a goal for almost all Brazilians who fight MMA. If I could fight on this card, that would be great. But I don't know if it would be possible on this card because it will be very close to the date of my next fight.”

Fabricio Andrade not impressed by Stephen Loman’s win over Bibiano Fernandes

The top-ranked bantamweight in the promotion Fabricio Andrade was not impressed by Stephen Loman’s recent victory at ONE on Prime Video 4.

‘The Sniper’ stepped into the biggest fight of his career to date and defeated the division's former dominant world champion Bibiano Fernandes.

Seemingly earning himself a world title shot against the winner of Andrade vs Lineker 2, Loman has put together an impressive run so far in ONE Championship.

Despite his win over one of the greatest world champions ONE Championship has ever seen, Fabricio Andrade doesn’t put much stock in the victory and called the fight “boring” in an interview with ONE Championship:

“It was a boring fight, but Loman showed that he is the next challenger for the belt. But just like Lineker, he didn't impress me because he beat a guy who is at the end of his career, who is almost retiring. It wasn't impressive at all, but he's the next challenger for the belt.”

Though it wasn’t the show-stealing performance that Loman would have wanted, he got the job done against his toughest opponent to date in dominant fashion. Whilst the two Brazilians are set to fight for the vacant world title at ONE on Prime Video 7, Stephen Loman will be waiting in the wings for a world title shot against the winner.
