Fabricio Andrade is open to competing in other sports in ONE Championship but is deferring any decision on it until after his world title fight at ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video later this month.
Speaking to SCMP MMA, 'Wonder Boy' shared that venturing into kickboxing and Muay Thai is a possibility for him, although he admitted that his focus at the moment is on his rematch with former champion John Lineker for the vacant ONE bantamweight world title on February 24. Andrade said:
“Maybe after that, we could see like, I don't know, maybe kickboxing, Muay Thai or going up a weight class. That's our option but let's see. Lineker is the first step. I have to knock him out first. And then we talk about all this other stuff.”

In ONE, Fabricio Andrade has competed in six fights to date, all in MMA. But prior to joining the promotion, he had considerable experience competing in kickboxing and Muay Thai.
As he puts his decision on the other career options on hold, 'Wonder Boy' is gearing up for his all-Brazilian world title clash with Lineker. The two will settle the score for the bantamweight title after their first encounter last October concluded abruptly and was ruled a no-contest, with Lineker unable to continue after absorbing an accidental strike in the groin in the third round.
Fabricio Andrade said he has been laser-focused in his preparation and vowed to stay aggressive yet more precise to complete the unfinished business and be crowned champion.
ONE Fight Night 7 will take place at the historic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok and will be broadcast live and for free to all Prime Video subscribers in North America.
Fabricio Andrade says reaction to ONE and Lumpinee partnership has been positive
Fabricio Andrade welcomes the warm reception that the partnership between ONE Championship and the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium has been getting.
Having made a name for himself in Muay Thai before focusing on mixed martial arts of late, 'Wonder Boy' said the ONE Friday Fights series is a boon to athletes doing the 'art of eight limbs', and he is glad that the response to it has been largely positive. Andrade further told SCMP MMA:
“Yes. 100%, like if you see today, all the big names in Muay Thai are fighting for ONE because they are getting paid what they deserve. So everybody, all those guys there are coming, like the young guys, they all want to fight for ONE as well. ONE Lumpinee is like an opportunity for them to get to the big stage and make the money that they deserve.”
ONE Friday Fights is a weekly show by the promotion at Lumpinee Stadium, which features top Muay Thai fighters from around the world as well as noted prospects coming out of Thailand. It kicked off last month.
Andrade has shared that he is open to competing in Muay Thai anew, possibly part of the fight series, down the line.
The fourth installment of ONE Friday Fights happens on February 10.
