One could argue that what Fabricio Andrade did to John Lineker in their first match was already flawless in itself, but ‘Wonder Boy’ believes he can do a greater job in the rematch.
Andrade will take on Lineker once again for the vacant ONE bantamweight world title in the main event of ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video on February 24 at the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium.
During his interview with MMA Underground, Andrade said that he wasn’t too happy with his performance at ONE on Prime Video 3 and that he plans to put on a cleaner outing in his rematch with Lineker.

Fabricio Andrade said:
"Yes, a hundred percent, especially because I don’t think I performed at my best in the first fight so you have a chance to do your game, and to do an even better performance is something I look forward to.”
The 25-year-old was firmly ahead during his first fight against Lineker tagging the former ONE bantamweight world champion with a tremendous and continuous offensive barrage. Andrade, though, accidentally hit Lineker with a knee to the groin past the midway point of the third round.
The knee strike had so much force behind it that it shattered Lineker’s cup forcing the Brazilian veteran to exhaust the entire recovery period.
With Lineker unable to continue after the blow, the match was ruled a no-contest. Andrade’s first world title match ended on a sour note, but he can correct his mistakes in the rematch and potentially capture that elusive piece of world championship gold.
ONE Fight Night 7 is available live and for free to all Prime Video subscribers in North America.
Pre-fight pleasantries all part of a day’s work for Fabricio Andrade
While some fighters struggle to juggle all their pre-fight responsibilities heading into the big cards, Fabricio Andrade seems to be the complete opposite.
‘Wonder Boy’ has shown that he doesn’t just put on a show inside the circle, he can also command the crowd outside of it.
Andrade, during his pre-event interviews, said he’s all in whenever he talks to the media heading into his rematch against John Lineker:
“Yes, yeah, I'm enjoying it. We are a couple of days out of the fight, and all the work has been done. My weight is good. Everything is good. So now I'm just doing what I have to do. This interview, all the media. This part and I enjoy that part too. It's all part of the show.”
