Fabricio Andrade was seemingly moments away from finishing John Lineker at ONE on Prime Video 3, and he is determined to finish the fight when they meet again at ONE Fight Night 7.
In the main event on February 24, the vacant bantamweight world championship will once again be contested between the two Brazilians after their first fight ended in a no-contest.
Andrade has admitted that he rushed the first fight after hurting Lineker with his signature knee to the body, which led to the unintentional knee to his opponent’s groin that ended the fight.
Ahead of their rematch, ‘Wonder Boy’ knows that he cannot force a knockout after seeing how patient his opponent was inside the circle. Despite this, he is still confident that he will have his hand raised as the new bantamweight world champion inside three rounds.

Fabricio Andrade not happy he got grappled by John Lineker: “I don't believe he's a good wrestler”
Fabricio Andrade has been critical of his own performance against John Lineker the first time around despite receiving a lot of praise for it.
Determined to get a finish, he believes that he rushed certain aspects of the fight. One result of that was the success that John Lineker had in getting the fight to the floor.
After hurting his opponent on the feet, the former world champion looked for takedowns against Andrade in order to recover and found himself back in the fight as a result.
Ahead of their rematch at ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video, Andrade is keen to prove that it was his own mistakes that led to Lineker’s successful takedowns and that his compatriot is not a better grappler than him.
In an interview with John Morgan of MMA Underground, Fabricio Andrade spoke about his opponent’s change of game plan and how it won’t be a factor in their rematch:
“I'm happy with my performance in the first fight, but I think because I rushed a little bit, I gave him an opportunity to take the fight to the ground, and I don't believe he's a good wrestler, so I was not happy when I got taken down.”
If Andrade is able to keep the fight standing, he has already proved that he has the ability to outstrike and hurt John Lineker with his precise and diverse Muay Thai arsenal.
