Fabricio Andrade really wants to prove he can grapple in Kwon Won Il showdown: “That’s what I want to show”

Reigning and undisputed ONE bantamweight MMA world champion 'Wonder Boy' Fabricio Andrade of Brazil is known for his ability to separate his opponents from their senses.

One look at Andrade's highlight reel, and you'll quickly discover that it's riddled with show-stopping knockouts.

But against South Korea's 'Pretty Boy' Kwon Won Il this weekend, Andrade wants to prove that he can grapple too.

He told Sportskeeda MMA in an exclusive interview:

"I’ve really focused a lot on my ground game because I stopped training that for a while. I’ve been focusing on jiu-jitsu, and wrestling, focusing a lot on my grappling."

Kwon added:

"That’s what I want to show. I want to show that I’m not a wrestler. I want to prove that I can be comfortable in the ground game. I want to be able to make it tough for him on the ground. I want to make him confused and that will help me get to the next level."

Andrade is set to defend his bantamweight gold in his return to action this weekend.
