Fabricio Andrade believes he is the best bantamweight in ONE Championship and his performance against John Lineker at ONE on Prime Video 3 in October helped to solidify that stance.

‘Wonder Boy’ may not have walked out of the event with ONE gold wrapped around his waist, but he put on a masterful display of striking that nearly put John Lineker away before an errant knee landed low, forcing a no-contest. On February 24, Andrade will attempt to repeat those results, minus the anticlimactic ending, when they square off once again at ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video.

In an interview with The MMA Superfan, Andrade spoke about his confidence before and after his first meeting with Lineker and his goal heading into the highly anticipated rematch.

“I'm a confident guy, and I've been showing it and I showed it in the last fight that I'm one of the best bantamweights on the planet. I want to keep improving and keep putting on good performances and show everyone that I deserve to be the champion, and I deserve to be respected.”

Fabricio Andrade is only thinking about his rematch with John Lineker

Since his fight with John Lineker in October was ruled a no-contest, Fabricio Andrade has been laser-focused on the February rematch. Canceling his vacation and getting back into the gym, ‘Wonder Boy’ is determined to deliver another memorable performance and go home with the gold this time.

“This fight is definitely the only thing on my mind right now. I'm very focused, as I have been in all my fights. I think I have a very good mentality. I like this pressure, it gives me more motivation to keep training and look for results.”

Fabricio Andrade continued, saying:

“What I like to do to relax is all about fighting. I like to go into the sauna, do an ice bath, run, and meditate. All of this makes me feel very strong mentally and makes me feel confident. I'm always thinking about positive things. But I'm enjoying the pressure this fight is bringing. It's a big fight, everyone is waiting for it."
