Fabricio Andrade is excited about finally seeing the long-teased ONE heavyweight world championship showdown between reigning titleholder Arjan Bhullar and current two-division ONE world champion Anatoly Malykhin.
Malykhin, who is the holder of the interim heavyweight world title, recently shocked the world by demolishing the previously undefeated ‘Dutch Knight’ Reinier de Ridder at ONE on Prime Video 5 in December. He captured the ONE light heavyweight world championship in the process and will next go for undisputed status in the heavyweight division when he meets Indian slugger Arjan Bhullar.
In an interview with The MMA Superfan, Fabricio Andrade shared his excitement about the matchup, saying:
“I'm very excited about this one. They've been talking for a while. You can see what is happening, Arjan knows how dangerous Anatoly is.”

The two heavyweight warriors will finally square off inside the Circle when ONE Championship returns to the Singapore Indoor Stadium on March 24 for ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video.
Bhullar will make his first appearance for the promotion since capturing the heavyweight world championship by defeating Brandon Vera on May 15, 2021.
Anatoly Malykhin, meanwhile, has remained active, capturing two ONE world titles in 2022 and earning ONE Championship’s coveted Fighter of the Year award.
Fabricio Andrade is still uncertain if Arjan Bhullar will show up on March 24
By the time Arjan Bhullar steps inside the Circle for his scheduled main event clash with Anatoly Malykhin in March, it will be nearly two years since his last appearance. During that time, many fans and fighters have speculated on the exact reason why Bhullar has been absent. Many came to the conclusion that Bhullar simply wants no part of the Russian juggernaut.
Even with Bhullar now signing on the dotted line for the title unification contest, Fabricio Andrade remains skeptical and will continue as such until the Circle door shuts behind the two men on May 24.
“We can't be sure until they're both inside the cage. So they can sign contracts. They can do whatever they want. Arjan has been running for a long time. So of course, he put a question mark in everybody's brain when he says he's finally going to fight Anatoly. Especially when Anatoly has been nothing but impressive in his performances, you know?”
Do you think we will really see Arjan Bhullar step into the cage to defend his ONE heavyweight world title for the very first time at ONE Fight Night 8?
