Fabricio Andrade prospers under pressure
Fighting 'Hands of Stone' John Lineker is already a challenging task for any fighter. Add in a main event slot, plus a world title on the line and some fighters would fold under the pressure, but not Fabricio Andrade. In an interview with ONE Championship, the 25-year-old Brazilian said:
"I like this pressure, it gives me more motivation to keep training and look for results. What I like to do to relax is all about fighting ... But I'm enjoying the pressure this fight is bringing. It's a big fight, everyone is waiting for it."
The explosive athlete also added that he predicted the fight to end via knockout within two rounds. 'Wonder Boy' added:
“This fight will end in a maximum of two rounds. And it will definitely end with me knocking out John Lineker one more time ... He knows I’m better than him. His chance of winning this fight is if something extraordinary happens. But we know that I’m the best athlete, that this is my moment, and that I’m going to be the champion.”
Fabricio Andrade will be looking to accomplish his life's dream of holding the ONE bantamweight world championship. Standing in his way is the heavy-handed John Lineker. The two are booked for battle at ONE Fight Night 7 on February 24.
